TRIBE

Tribe is an organization that supports active duty soldiers and their families by instructing them how to use the tools of mindfulness, meditation & yoga in order to accomplish their missions.

The concept behind the mark was to create a shield that would be emblematic of patches on military uniforms in form. At the center, a figure is in the midst of transitioning to warrior’s pose stands. With head tilted back staring upward, their is a hidden strength here as the figure seemingly pulls at the gravity of its environment/container. And while powerful, the figure is composed of softer, rounded forms with flowing gestures, which is in direct opposition to the sharper geometric world of its container: in a world that can be harsh, yoga and meditation can bring you solace and power.
