SEATAC MURALS
The Port of Seattle is a public municipal corporation that owns and manages Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, a leading container port, Fishermen's Terminal, four marinas, cruise-ship berths and many other facilities.
As part of an ongoing initiative to maintain these facilities, the Port of Seattle employs a number of AEC firms to renovate and update spaces as needed. This specific project was located at SeaTac airport, where as part of the renovation the team wanted to explore the introduction of murals to both enhance customer experience as well as act as means of way-finding within the facility by providing a distinct mural for each floor. The imagery used across the murals is intended to highlight the Port of Seattle air and maritime services, as well as the different regions of the State of Washington.
As principle designer, I created these mural concepts on behalf of Mackenzie - an AEC firm that was contracted to work on this renovation project.
